Omi Sweets

The Best of Traditional Treats Since 1830
The origin of Omi Sweets dates back to 1830 when the founder Lala Kunwar Sen Mittal, an entrepreneur, decided to open a sweet shop in Mussoorie. Originally from Ghaziabad, he and his family liked the hill station so much that they decided to settle down there. Initially, they sold grocery items such as salt, oil, and jaggery, which they brought from Saharanpur. Soon afterwards, they started manufacturing and selling their own namkeen, laddoo, balushahi (a flour-based mithai), and other traditional sweets. With time, the delicious, quality products gained a lot of popularity with people thronging their store. And so began the successful journey of this famous brand. Today, with thousands of satisfied customers over the decades, they are a huge name in many households. From a small outlet in a hilly region to a big business with a monthly production capacity of over 1800 kg, the company has come a long way. What sets the brand apart is their authentic flavour developed over 150 years of being in the trade. Current owner, Ashwani Mittal, the 8th generation descendant of the founder, has expanded the store further to make available a bevy of exclusive sweets. Using the finest ingredients, he is committed to serve only the best in taste. Also, the ready-to-eat products are made and packaged in completely hygienic surroundings under his care. The mouth-watering bites offered by the enterprise are hugely popular among all ages.
